Royston Rayzor scores another favorable defense verdict in South Texas Complex Product Liability case.

Congratulations to lead trial counsel, Javier Gonzalez and Shauna Lozano on their recent two-week jury trial victory in Edinburg, Texas.  On September 1, 2023, a Hidalgo County jury rendered a favorable defense verdict on behalf of our client, a farm implement manufacturer.  The case involved a serious worksite accident during assembly of tillage equipment.  The plaintiff alleged that our product manufacturer’s negligence and design and marketing defects caused him to sustain serious injuries – loss of foot appendages and complex regional pain syndrome with life care plan necessity, earnings loss and intangible impairments and disfigurement.  The plaintiff’s lawyers sought high seven-figures in damages.  The case was presented in person to a South Texas jury in Hidalgo County.  Verdict was no design defect and a damage award apportionment against manufacturer of under six-figures with most liability apportioned on plaintiff’s employer.  With the assistance of paralegals, Norma Hernandez, Cynthia Gonzales and Gracie Garza, our trial team utilized the latest in courtroom presence and technology to successfully present this case to jury verdict in a challenging defense venue!
